Cowboy Hash {A Meatless Dish)

Looking for a meatless main dish to serve?

I think this one is quite yummy! It’s so important to be eating REAL WHOLE foods and this dish helps you do just that.  Although meat is a important source of protein in our diet, your digestive tract can always use a little break so it is good to go meatless for a meal occasionally.

That being said, what works for us may not work well for your body. So listen to it and figure out what makes your body thrive!! 🙂

Easy Chicken & Black Bean Tacos {Crockpot}

Who loves tacos?!

This dish is amazing!! My husband loves it, I love it, it is SUPER EASY to make, you can freeze it, it’s a crockpot meal, it calls for basic ingredients that we usually have on hand and its on my meal plan every month! Seriously, make this!

Just a side note here: CHECK the LABELS on your corn, salsa and beans. A lot of brands have added sugar which is NOT necessary! Sugar is part of the reason we as Americans are sick, overweight and fatigued. Sadly, canned foods like corn and beans can have sugar added to it which is quite frustrating because it is not needed. Watch out for those hidden sugars, they can show up where you least expect them!

Now onto the recipe: serve with lettuce, guacamole, hot sauce, or whichever toppings you prefer! Enjoy!

Dairy Free Chocolate Sauce

I stumbled across this dairy free chocolate sauce recipe from Heavenly Homemakers and knew right away I had to try it!

It was delicious! I drizzled some over strawberries, added it to my iced coffee, and just ate a few bites off the spoon! 😉

Sweetened with honey and using coconut milk, this a delicious dairy-free treat that I sure don’t feel bad about having!

Stored in the fridge, it will last about 2 weeks. Enjoy!

Chocolate Covered Everything

Hey chocolate lovers!

It’s not new news that you can dip most anything in chocolate and it tastes delicious! I want to share my chocolate recipe that I use for dipping. Strawberries, apples & bananas are quite delicious covered in chocolate. 🙂  This recipe uses coconut oil which will require you to refrigerate until you are ready to eat the final product. (If you are not interested in that, you can melt a organic dark chocolate bar or chocolate chips and use that instead.)

Coconut oil is a wonderful healthy fat and the cacao powder has some great health benefits which include magnesium & a high antioxidant contentDipping fruit in this delicious chocolate is an awesome combination of healthy fats & carbs making it a wonderful snack option!

Sausage Kale Soup

I’ve been making this sausage kale soup once a week.

That’s how good it is! Filled with gut healing bone broth, protein, greens and yummy sweet potatoes, it is a super healthy soup! I love using recipes like this one to get in a variety of nutritious foods!

Update: You can use hamburger in place of the turkey sausage. If you do, add: 1 tsp oregano, 1 tsp basil & 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes.

Hummus

Hello hummus.

Creamy, delicious, full of protein & healthy fats. Hummus is a perfect snack, addition to your wrap or even a salad!

Unfortunately most kinds you buy from the store are full of preservatives and chemicals. Yucky. The good news? You can make it at home very easily!  Here is a basic hummus recipe, I haven’t did much experimenting with different flavors…YET! 🙂

My favorite ways to use it:

  • vegetable dip
  • in wraps (in place of mayo)
  • on salads

I want to hear from you! What are your favorite flavors and ways to eat hummus?
