Dark Chocolate Brownies {Gluten, Flour & Bean Free}

Jump to recipe

I was on the hunt for a brownie. One that was extra chocolaty (is that a word?), free of refined sugar & flour and one that did not use black beans.  As much as I do love a good black bean brownie, I honestly didn’t want to have to mess with the blender! Inspired by this online recipe, I made a couple upgrades and was so happy with the results that I’m sharing it with you.

A couple warnings:
  1. If you are not an extreme chocolate fan, than this brownie is NOT for you. 🙂
  2. If you are not a coffee lover, than this brownie is not for you. Because it pairs SUPER WELL with a coffee. 🙂
Did I mention this brownie is:
  • GLUTEN FREE
  • DAIRY FREE
  • SOY FREE
  • GRAIN FREE
  • REFINED SUGAR FREE

Don’t let that list scare you! These brownies got adult AND kid approved!

Listed below are the particular ingredients I used in this recipe. (You can also check out the SHOP HEALTHY PRODUCTS page for more brands that I use and love!)

  1. Enjoy Life Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips Variety Pack (3 Mini Chips, 3 Mega Chunks)
  2. Navitas Organics Cacao Powder, 16 oz. Bags — Organic, Non-GMO, Fair Trade, Gluten-Free
  3. Nutiva USDA Certified Organic, non-GMO, Unrefined Granulated Coconut Sugar, 1-Pound, Pack of 3
  4. Bob’s Red Mill Arrowroot Starch/Flour, 16-ounce

    Hi Carrie! My friends who eat vegan do not eat eggs, so I would substitute that for the flaxseed/water mixture that works great in place of eggs! 🙂 These look good!!
