How To Make A Yogurt Bowl

You know those morning where you want something creamy, filling, delicious & quick to make? Introducing yogurt bowls! My new favorite breakfast when I’m short on time!

One thing I love about these bowls is how versatile they can be! From the different types of yogurt to various toppings, you can switch things up to whatever you’re feeling. How to make a yogurt bowl:
  1. Start with a base. If your body tolerates dairy, use an organic full fat plain yogurt or a plain Greek yogurt. I like to use the Stonyfield brand or Siggi’s. Look for an unsweetened kind. The ones that are flavored contain a high amount of sugar. Better to put on your own sweetener if needed. If you are dairy free: look for a coconut or almond milk yogurt and stay away from the soy ones.
  2. Add collagen. I use the Further Food brand (code: CARRIESINK will save you 15%) and just stir it right into the yogurt. This will give you an extra 20 grams of protein per serving + collagen is a must if you have any type of digestive issues! (Learn about my gut health program here)
  3. Add fruit of choice. Some of my favorite combinations are pineapple and banana, mixed berries or my fall apples with granola (pictured above).
  4. Add additional toppings. Like smoothies, these bowls are perfect to get in extra boosts of nutrients. Some of my favorites include chia seeds, pumpkin seeds, walnuts, almonds, goji berries, granola, maca powder.
  5. Drizzle with honey or maple syrup. Normally the fruit makes it sweet enough for me & I don’t need to use sweetener. But if I decide to, I always reach for honey or maple syrup.

I hope this blog inspires you to experiment in the kitchen with yogurt bowls! Let me know your favorite combinations in the comments or over on Instagram!
